Raymundo Pavan
Associate, Senior Experiential Designer | B.ARCH SEGD
With over 15 years of experience in both architecture and interdisciplinary design, Raymundo has spent his career building bridges between specialties, including architecture, graphics, interiors, and design and brand strategy. He is a Senior Experiential Designer in our studio — bringing together disciplines to develop environments that communicate information and enhance the user’s functional and phenomenological experience of our projects.
As both a designer and mentor, Ray has been instrumental in advancing MJMA’s interdisciplinary design practice. His international experience spans urban planning, architecture, exhibition design, branding, pop-up experiences, and wayfinding, allowing him to lead complex projects that synthesize diverse approaches. From ideation through construction administration, he guides teams and clients toward solutions that exceed expectations, design standards, and accessibility goals. Ray’s portfolio at MJMA includes the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre, where graphics are a core design element that is marshalled together with architecture, landscape, and interiors to create a multiuse facility that fulfills the community’s desire for a ‘Made in Muskoka’ feel. .
Ray has a Bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and completed Interdisciplinary Design Studies at the Institute Without Boundaries, George Brown College. Before joining MJMA in 2022, he worked at design and architecture offices in Mexico City and Toronto. He has also been a guest critic in the Experiential Design program at Sheridan College.
