The Churchill Meadows Community Centre and Mattamy Sports Park occupy formerly agricultural land adjacent to residential neighourhoods and at the City of Mississauga’s ‘final frontier’ western boundary.
MJMA’s design closely integrates the pavilion-like building and landscape so that together they form a vital new civic landmark focused on healthy activity and community-building. For its quickly growing and diverse community, the 50-acre park offers a series of leisure, sport, and gathering spaces, including a sheltered walking track, benches, and bike parking around the perimeter of the building, a playground and splash pad, basketball courts, sports fields, and trails.
