This Interior Signage Guideline is one of several projects MJMA has undertaken for the YMCA of Greater Toronto. The document provides a unified framework that enhances clarity and consistency across all YMCA facilities within Greater Toronto, and supports excellence in communication and navigation within the YMCA spaces. Clarity drives the YMCA Signage Guidelines, intended to be concise, intentional, and easy to follow. Accessibility is a guiding principle in every aspect of the signage and wayfinding system to welcome and empower members of all abilities.
The interior signage system follows a square module design, providing a consistent and adaptable framework across various facility conditions. Core modules can be combined in various configurations to create a wide range of sign types.
