Joining MJMA in 2013, Woosuk was drawn to our commitment to well-crafted public buildings that advance social inclusivity, strengthen community, and nurture environmental and human health. With particular expertise in material selection and detailing, he has been a valued team member on some of our most technically complex campus and community buildings. Woosuk is dedicated to developing sustainable strategies and making spaces that bring people delight while connecting them to one another and to their ecological contexts. This outlook is reflected in his love for travelling throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, enjoying with his family new architectural and natural experiences in equal measure.
Woosuk has a Bachelor in Engineering from Dongguk University in Seoul and a Master in Architecture from the University of Toronto. Before coming to MJMA, he worked at studios in Toronto, gaining experience in institutional and high-end residential and institutional architecture as well as a feel for attention to materials and detailing, much of it custom.
