Shalice Coutu

Shalice is dedicated to furthering the positive social impact of built spaces. Her work is underpinned by ongoing research into the ways architecture affects human psychology, behaviour, and wellness, and she is particularly focused on expanding the scope of accessible design and the post-occupancy assessment of projects. While contributing across all stages of project development, she is also a member of MJMA’s Computation and BIM Committee and teaches the use of REVIT to colleagues. Shalice has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Psychology as well as a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto. She joined MJMA in 2023 after working in her native Saskatchewan and in Toronto, with a focus on socially-inclusive practices and projects.
