Obinna Ogunedo

Dedicated to the advancement of public architecture, Obinna focuses on creating functional, long-lasting spaces that build community, nurture the environment, and bring delight to their users. With expertise across schematic design through construction completion, he has been a key contributor to some of MJMA’s most recognized recreational projects. Obi has a Bachelor and Master of Science in Architecture from Imo State University in Owerri, Nigeria, and a Master of Environmental Design from the University of Calgary. Before joining MJMA in 2016, he gained extensive work experience in Nigeria. Seeking to further promote community-based architecture, he is also as a co-founder of AdiRè (Agency for Design Intelligence and Research) — a cross-disciplinary and international think tank dedicated to developing strategies for urbanization, cultural preservation, and resilient communities within West Africa.
