Monica Leung
OAA
Monica came to architecture with a background in health sciences and a passion for exploring how the built environment can nurture human wellbeing. Adept across all phases of design and construction, she welcomes projects that demand rigorous problem solving and nimble thinking. She enjoys the collaborative processes of architecture, especially engagement with client teams — always with the goal of working with communities to carefully determine, meet, and surpass their needs and aspirations. Monica obtained a Bachelor of Science from UBC, and then a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Master of Architecture from Dalhousie University. Drawn to how MJMA places people at the centre of design, she joined the studio in 2019, after working in architecture and planning at firms in Toronto, Basel, and Berlin.
