Walker Sports & Abilities Centre and Canada Summer Games Park
St. Catharines, Ontario
The world-class indoor and outdoor venues of the Walker Sports and Abilities Centre are situated at the south end of the Brock University campus and initially hosted competitions for the 2022 Canada Summer Games. Subsequently, the WSAC has become the permanent home for programming crucial to the development of sport and health at the national, provincial, and local (campus and broader community) levels. The project’s landscape design includes a sports park and public plaza that provide athletic and social amenities while also enhancing the surrounding infrastructure in ways that will catalyze the campus’s planned southward and sustainable development.
