Russell Township Recreation Complex

Located 40 kilometers from downtown Ottawa, Russell Township is a bedroom and agricultural community, and one of the most rapidly growing municipalities in Eastern Ontario. As part of a set of public projects for the Township that are focused on advancing individual and community wellness, this new Recreation Complex offers three arenas, an aquatics centre for both competition and recreational swims, a multipurpose hall, and landscaped spaces that are salient to the facility’s purpose. While extending the vibrant life of the complex to the outdoors by supporting a broad spectrum of uses, the landscape is also designed to improve the ecological health of the site, ensuring the complex will foster community wellbeing long into the future.
