Francesca Joyce
Sustainability Specialist | OAA CPHD
Francesca is an architect and advocate for positive change in the relationship between design and the environment. A Sustainability Specialist and a Certified Passive House Designer, she has contributed to some of MJMA’s most ambitious and high-performing buildings. She seeks to ensure that every MJMA project has a positive impact on our environment and that its sustainability efforts align with all its design goals. Aiming to establish the most rigorous and holistic practices across all disciplines in our studio, Francesca also leads research and policy initiatives, including MJMA’s Sustainability Action Plan. Francesca has a Bachelor of Architectural Science from Carleton University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto. Before joining MJMA in 2018, she worked in studios in Toronto, Singapore, and Victoria, BC.
