Basima Roshan
HR Consultant | CPA MBA
With wide-ranging expertise and a gift for supporting and motivating staff at all levels of seniority, Basima advises MJMA on financial management, strategic and succession planning, and human resources. Her contributions have been instrumental to both MJMA’s professional success and building the collegial culture of our studio. Basima’s comprehensive knowledge has been developed through two decades of experience that includes stints with Fortune 500 companies and serving as a Fractional CFO and COO. Since 2014 she has focused on consulting for architects and designers, working with firms in Canada and the UK. She teaches financial management to architects through the RAIC and the OAA, and contributed the finance chapter to the OAA’s licencing handbook. Basima has also lent her skills and her natural impulse to help others to extensive volunteer work: her current positions include Board Treasurer for Aboriginal Legal Services and serving as a member of the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee for the United Way of Greater Toronto.
