"I’ve always been most fascinated by the social implications of architecture, and I appreciate the opportunity to work on public buildings that become civic anchors for the communities they serve."
With a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering and a Master of Architecture, both from the University of Calgary, Matt has been a valued member of MJMA’s architectural design team since 2013. This follows experience designing urban public spaces and small-scale public infrastructure buildings at Calgary’s Marc Boutin Architectural Collaborative and, prior to that, working on mixed-use, multi-unit housing developments at Calgary’s Sturgess Architecture. Matt now brings his technical problem-solving and leadership skills to MJMA’s development, feasibility, and land-use studies, as well as public-space projects including landscape architecture, urban design and planning, and numerous community and recreation centres throughout Ontario.
